FFWPU was founded by Rev. & Mrs. Sun Myung Moon in 1996, as an international and inter-religious association of families who aspire to live according to the values and principles taught by our founders. Together Rev. & Mrs. Moon established many organizations throughout their lives as a way to address the needs of the world and create opportunities to live for the sake of others. However, they believe that the family is the only institution established by God, and that the family is where we truly grow to understand God through the four realms of heart: parental love, children’s love, sibling love, and conjugal love.

God is a Heavenly Parent who desires to build a heavenly family on Earth, and the term reflects both the fatherly and motherly heart of God.Click to edit your text

The Marriage Blessing is a ceremony where a couple dedicates their marriage to God (Heavenly Parent). It’s considered a key part of building a God-centered family, which is the foundation of peace and love in the world.

It’s based on the belief that:

God’s original intention was for Adam and Eve to create a pure, God-centered family.
Because of the Fall, that ideal was never realized.
Through the Blessing, couples are restored, and they commit to building a family that aligns with Heaven’s purpose.
